ERTI Georgian Spot is a modestly sized family restaurant nestled on Tērbatas iela in the heart of Riga's Centra rajons. This spot feels less like a typical dining venue and more like stepping into a warmly lit kitchen where Georgian traditions are lovingly preserved and shared.

The atmosphere here is intimate and welcoming, shaped by the hospitality of the owners who create a cozy environment that invites you to linger over your meal. The space is not expansive, making it a good choice for smaller groups or families looking for a relaxed evening without the bustle of a busy restaurant.

ERTI excels in transporting diners through its food and drink — particularly for those new to Georgian cuisine or seasoned enthusiasts alike. Dishes featuring fresh, homemade ingredients are prepared openly in front of guests, which adds a transparent and personal touch to the experience. The portions tend to be generous, emphasizing shareable meals that encourage conversation around the table.

Visitors often come to experience the authentic preparation of Georgian staples, like khinkali, which in this kitchen takes center stage. There’s a noticeable pride here in preserving the traditional recipes and cooking methods, with the chef and staff often engaging with guests, sometimes even guiding them through making their own khinkali in an informal workshop format. Freshness is paramount here, with no reliance on frozen or pre-prepared items, which resonates well with locals who appreciate genuine ingredient quality.

Complementing the food is a carefully curated selection of Georgian wines, served with thoughtful recommendations by the staff, enhancing the immersive cultural experience. Patrons interested in Georgian culinary culture find themselves returning not only for the meal but also for the chance to explore spice mixes and sauces that represent authentic flavor profiles.

ERTI Georgian Spot suits visitors seeking a homely, unpretentious dinner where food takes the spotlight and the mood remains relaxed yet attentive. Early evenings or weekday dinners might offer the best balance of space and service attentiveness, especially since the place’s limited capacity means reservations or timely arrival could be prudent.

Overall, those who appreciate straightforward, hearty meals with rich cultural context — and enjoy connecting with the people who make their dining experience—are likely to find ERTI a meaningful spot to revisit in Riga’s restaurant landscape.

Absolutely amaizing place! It is not only a delicious restaurant with a wide collection of Georgian wines, but a trip to the Georgia itself. Very pleasant and cosy mood is provided by hospitable owners. There is no way how describe food in words. Just need to try. Hachapuri is the best I have ever tasted. Self made Henkali was great! All the ingridients are homemade and the atmosphere is likely to Georgian traditional family eating rather than a fancy restaurant which adds more value to the experience overall! I personally will come back soon with my friends!

Four of us had dinner at Erti recently and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The owners made us feel incredibly welcome. We had kharcho, khinkali, salads, khachapuri and other dishes and each was fresh an incredibly tasty. I went back the next day for another bowl of kharcho and to buy some of the spices and sauces. We highly recommend Erti. The place is not that big so it probably makes sense to make a reservation.

First time eating georgian food and it didn't dissapoint! My favorite was the eggplant rolls with walnuts and I would have loved to try the wineleave-rolls but they were not available at the time. Just be prepared that some dishes are heavy on cheese, but still very delicious. We also enjoyed the service and the wine recommendation. Thank you!

An excellent Georgian place in Riga. The food is incredibly delicious! The portions are large. I would even say these are the best khinkali in Riga and Latvia that I’ve had recently. The owners are very kind and welcoming. The kitchen is always fresh — everything is prepared right in front of you. No pre-made or frozen food. That means amazing service and fresh meals! Truly recommend it from the heart!

I have been 5 times in Georgia, and I confirm this place is super authentic! To visit Erti was one of my gastronomy goals while visiting Riga. Place is small and very cozy, interior, choice of Georgian wines that you can buy also for home. Chef, from Georgia is simply great! Hinkali here are not only tasty, but also bigger than in other places. Everything like in Georgia, also the spices and tastes. Lobiani and authentic bread was also on top. This is truly pleasant to see that the Chef loves what he does, and we feel it! This is first Georgian restaurant in Riga , who had my favourite orange wine. The Host and Owner Viktorija makes this place outstanding with her excellent and professional service. Viktorija is well experienced Restaurateur, and she gives detailed and professional advice about each dish they offer. This is a big and huge YES and huge thank you for outstanding experience! With the kindest greetings from Sweden! ⭐

Excellent! Food was delicious. Great little spot with typical Georgian food and beverages. The khachapuri was incredible. It is a must try! We tried both soups and enjoyed them. The flavors were really great on both. Khinkali was also nice. Good mix of vegetarian and meat options. Highly recommend!

A truly unforgettable Georgian experience! I joined a khinkali masterclass at Erti, and it was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We were greeted with a beautifully set table full of delicious Georgian appetizers – eggplant rolls, fresh salads, and warm khachapuri. The hostess welcomed everyone so warmly, and a professional sommelier guided us through a fantastic tasting of five Georgian wines, plus hurma chacha and cognac, sharing lots of stories about Georgia’s wine traditions. Each of us got to make our own khinkali together with the chef, and the owner made heartfelt Georgian toasts that gave the whole evening such an authentic, joyful atmosphere. There was even a professional photographer capturing the event! Everything was sincere, delicious, and full of soul. Highly recommended to anyone visiting – an experience that truly feels like Georgia! ????????
